Terms of Use

Terms of Use Guidelines

1. Agreement to These Terms

Effective date: October 17, 2026

Welcome to The AZ Policy Chic. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.theazpolicychic.com, our blog, downloadable guides, videos, newsletters, and any related content or services (together, the “Site”).

The AZ Policy Chic is powered by J Martin Insurance Agency LLC, an Arizona limited liability company located in Tempe, Arizona (“J Martin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Under the Arizona Electronic Transactions Act (A.R.S. § 44-7001 et seq.), your use of the Site constitutes your electronic acceptance of these Terms.

2. Educational Content Only — Important Insurance Disclosures

The Site is for general educational and informational purposes about insurance and consumer topics in Arizona. Please read the following carefully:

  • Not professional advice. Content on the Site is not insurance, legal, tax, or financial advice. It does not create an agent-client, attorney-client, or fiduciary relationship. For advice about your situation, speak with a licensed insurance professional, attorney, or other qualified advisor.
  • Not legal advice. Guides that summarize Arizona laws (for example, traffic stop rights, consumer protection, or firearms laws) are simplified summaries. Laws change and apply differently to different facts. Always confirm current law at azleg.gov or with an Arizona-licensed attorney.
  • Not an offer or solicitation of coverage. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell, a quote, or a binder of insurance. Coverage is available only through a licensed agent, is subject to underwriting approval, and is governed solely by the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions of the policy actually issued.
  • No coverage changes by website or email. You cannot bind, change, or cancel coverage, or report a claim, through the Site, its comment features, or by sending a message to dani@theazpolicychic.com. Contact your agent or insurance company directly for any policy transaction or claim.
  • Examples and case studies. Scenarios, characters, and case studies on the Site (including video series) are fictional or illustrative unless clearly stated otherwise. Any resemblance to real persons or claims is coincidental. Real outcomes depend on your policy and the facts.
  • Accuracy. We work to keep content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that any content is complete, current, or error-free. Statistics and figures are drawn from cited sources as of their publication dates.

3. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You must be at least 18 years old, the age of majority in Arizona, to use the Site. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in violation of any federal, state, or local law, including Arizona law.
  • Copy, scrape, harvest, or republish Site content, or use automated tools (bots, crawlers, or AI training tools) to collect it, without our written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems, or interfere with its operation (A.R.S. § 13-2316).
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Post content that is false, defamatory, harassing, obscene, threatening, or that infringes anyone’s rights.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or business.
  • Share personal or sensitive information about another person, including policy numbers, claim details, or financial information, in comments or submissions.

We may suspend or end your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property, Downloads, and Submissions

Our content. All Site content, including articles, guides, PDFs, forms, videos, graphics, logos, and the names “The AZ Policy Chic” and “AZ Policy Chic,” is owned by or licensed to J Martin Insurance Agency LLC and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Downloadable guides. You may download and print our free guides and forms for your personal, non-commercial use, as long as you keep all copyright notices and do not alter them. You may not sell, redistribute, rebrand, or post them elsewhere without written permission. Sharing a link to the Site is always welcome.

Your submissions. If you send us comments, questions, story ideas, or other material, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, and publish it in connection with the Site, without compensation. We will not publish your name or identifying details without your permission. Do not send confidential information you want kept private.

Third-party links and content. The Site may link to outside websites, government sources, videos, or tools. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Affiliate and sponsored content. If we ever earn compensation from a link or mention, we will disclose it clearly, consistent with Federal Trade Commission guidelines.

Copyright concerns. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email dani@theazpolicychic.com with a description of the work, where it appears on the Site, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We will review and respond promptly.

5. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification

Disclaimer of warranties. The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.

Your decisions are your own. Any action you take based on Site content is at your own risk. Before buying, changing, or canceling insurance, or making a legal or financial decision, consult a licensed professional and review your actual policy documents.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, J Martin Insurance Agency LLC and its owners, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or coverage, arising from your use of or reliance on the Site. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Arizona law, and nothing here limits any duty owed to you under an insurance policy or a separate written agreement.

Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless J Martin Insurance Agency LLC and its owners, employees, and contributors from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

6. Privacy, Governing Law, and Other Terms

Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you share through the Site, including newsletter sign-ups and contact forms. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Arizona law (A.R.S. § 18-551 et seq.).

Email and text communications. If you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, you agree to receive related emails. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We will not send marketing text messages unless you give separate, express consent.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable federal law.

Resolving disputes. If you have a concern, please contact us first at dani@theazpolicychic.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot, you and we agree that any lawsuit related to the Site or these Terms will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may instead bring an eligible claim in an Arizona small claims court.

Insurance complaints. Questions or complaints about an insurance policy, claim, or agent are not governed by these Terms. You may contact your agent or insurer directly, or file a complaint with the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions at difi.az.gov.

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept them.

General. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
